    Cooking with Kids Stuff Tennesee

Cooking Matters for Kids – Tennesee is a hands-on nutrition education program that empowers children aged K-12th grades  with essential cooking skills and knowledge about healthy eating. In Illinois, the University of Illinois Extension collaborates with after-school programs to offer these classes, providing children with opportunities to learn about nutrition, food safety, and meal preparation. Through engaging activities, kids develop practical skills that extend beyond the kitchen, such as teamwork and communication .

Hear from a pre-teen in the Cooking Matters program to see how it has impacted her life for the better.

    Building with Kids Stuff Illinois

Kids-Stuff Illinois recently completed a hands-on project to remodel and renovate a youth room, creating a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for children and teens. All hands were on deck as staff, supporters, and community members came together to transform the room into a place where youth can gather, learn, and grow.

The updated space now provides opportunities for creativity, friendship, and mentorship, supporting Kids-Stuff’s mission to nurture the whole child. From new furniture to fresh paint and design, the room reflects a commitment to giving young people a space where they feel valued and at home.
